John Mayerhofer, CPA, PFS

John has nearly 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has a particular interest in helping seniors plan for and enjoy their retirement years while assuring that they will not outlive their financial resources. He brings a unique expertise in accounting as well as Financial Planning to our firm.

John is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the designation of Personal Financial Specialist. John completed his MBA at Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business and completed the Professional Accounting Program at Northwestern University. He received his BA in English Literature at St. John’s University.

John has served on the Adjunct faculty of St. Mary’s College, the University of San Francisco, the U.C. Berkeley School of Public Health and the U.C. Berkeley Extension Program, including lectures to healthcare professionals from Japan and China. Mr. Mayerhofer has authored a number of articles on healthcare financing and delivery, healthcare reform, board relationships, managed care and business valuation. He also has delivered a number of speeches on similar topics.
